I had to sit down at some point… #36weekspregnant 🙂
After our little apple picking time, I had to make applesauce as I wanted to stock it up for Emi. It happened that: The apples were too delicious and we ate more than expected, so this recipe got a little smaller than I wanted. But hey! Fresh vitamins and fibers!
As a quick tip: Apple is the kind of fruit you want to get organic. Conventional apple can carry up to 50 pesticides. Especially in the skin part (and the skin is richer in fiber and vitamins, so that’s the part you want to eat). More info there.
I am throwing this recipe quickly here because it really didn’t take me long to make it, and anybody can make it so I wanted to make sure to share it with you :
For Any quantity of Apple :
Organic Apple
Cinnamon sticks
Star Anis
Cloves
Cardamon
Cut the apple in 4 and remove the seeds. Throw everything in a pot (spices, apples etc) cover the pot and place on low heat until everything is smooth and cooked. Then throw everything in the blender. Blend on high speed until smooth (or desired texture. I like it very velvety smooth). That’s it. Keep it in the fridge for a week. It’s delicious and nutritious !!
